Students enrolled in the Leadership classes have the opportunity to participate in the Leadership Finishing School Luncheon. The goal is to have the students attend a business lunch where they will also learn the valuable, subtle skills necessary for success such as interviewing and networking. The students will be able to spend time with a professional who is engaged in a vocation in which these students have expressed interest. 
The concept behind this event is to have the students select a career of their choice, dress in business attire, and have a resume in hand. Approximately 6-8 students will be at a table with one business member where he/she can discuss his/her educational and work experience, allow the students to ask questions, and then in turn, interview each student based on their resume. At the end of the luncheon, there will be a very short evaluation sheet for the business partner to fill out for each student so they can have feedback on the pros and cons of their interviewing techniques. |
